Job Description

  • Responsible to identify and steer sourcing /cost savings/change management projects for compact hydraulic business unit and related components

  • Key counterpart in purchasing for compact hydraulic business unit

  • Work closely with commodity purchasing and technical purchasing to select the best cost effective suppliers for the compact hydraulic business unit

  • Identify potential suppliers and qualify parts for serial production, in cooperation with purchasing quality, and in accordance with Bosch Supplier Quality Management process

  • Review specifications and particular characteristics together with Engineering and Purchasing Quality

  • Stay current with the market and competition to apply the latest technology to projects

  • Use and maintain Bosch Purchasing IT Tools


  • Bachelor degree in Engineering or a related field from an accredited institution (ex. CHEA)

  • Minimum of 3 years experience in purchasing or engineering departmentwith at least an overall 5 years experience in a manufacturing environment

  • Must be able to read engineering drawings and understand technical specifications

  • Knowledge of PPAP process and preventive quality tools

  • Proactive, thorough, detail oriented, self-motivated, a strong team player, able to prioritize multiple tasks, and someone who takes initiative

  • Excellent project management skills required. Effective and creative problem-solving skills and time management/prioritization skills

  • Demonstrated ability to interact well with other internal departments as well as suppliers

  • Proficient in computer skills, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint

  • 30% Domestic/International travel required annually
