Are you ready to apply your skills to the solving of complicated logistics networks for a major manufacturer? If yes, then this is the position for you. On a day to day basis, you will be interfacing with customers, sales personnel, and Lehigh plants and terminals in regards to the manufacture, sale, and distribution of our products.
This position will reside in Nazareth, PA.
What you’ll get to do:
Follow all applicable safety policies and procedures, including wearing required personal protective equipment where appropriate
Receive & process all customer orders timely and efficiently
Respond to customer issues in a positive and timely manner and, when necessary, direct the customer to the appropriate respondent
Answer incoming telephone calls to the Customer Service center in a positive and professional manner
Communicate order confirmations & completion status to customers
Data entry of all customer and job information into SAP Data System
Interface with customers, truck drivers, Sales, & Plant personnel
Communicate shipment & sales information to all HQ and Regional Sales & Plant Offices
Coordinate and maintain product order delivery of shipments with approved freight carriers through Lehigh's distribution network to ensure maximum accuracy, cost effectiveness, and efficiency of product deliveries.
Maintain a high level of knowledge regarding product offerings throughout Lehigh's production and distribution facilities
Provide after-hours support when necessary, including weekends, Holidays, and during inclement weather. Work from home or at another Lehigh facility during inclement weather
Maintain and update certain S.A.P. data and reporting
Others duties and projects as assigned by management
Who we are looking for:
Excellent written & verbal communication skills; Specifically telephone skills
PC skills and knowledge of Windows based programs essential
S.A.P. skills and knowledge essential
Experience in sales or inside sales environment a plus
Product knowledge in the cement or construction industry helpful
Experience in a high pressure, fast paced team environment
Customer Service concepts
Ability to travel as needed (up to 10%)
Minimum Grade 12 with essential life experience in area(s) described above
