Mechanical Engineer, Mid

Key Role:

Provide mechanical engineering support for the development, operation, maintenance, and testing of complex technology systems for DoD weapon systems. Prepare design specifications, analyses, and recommendations for presentation and approval. Maintain technical responsibility for analyzing the planning, organizing, and conducting technical projects or phases of projects involving the design and development of new or improved product or processes. Investigate solutions to product or process problems. Consolidate the results of mechanical design elements for assigned projects and coordinate the efforts of drafters or designers, engineering technicians, and machine shop personnel, as required by assigned projects. Conduct independent technical investigations involving the origination or modification of material, component, or process specifications and requirements. Prepare technical reports, documentation, and briefings, as required.

Basic Qualifications:

-3+ years of experience with mechanical engineering

-Experience with engineering software, including ANSYS and Workbench structural analysis software, CADSI or DADS dynamic simulation analysis software, and PTC ProEngineer or Creo CAD or CAM software

-Knowledge of ASME Y14.5

-Active Secret clearance required

-BA or BS degree in ME

Additional Qualifications:

-Experience with supporting Integrated Product Team (IPT) meetings

-Possession of excellent oral and written communication skills to interface with the team and client

-TS/SCI clearance

-MA or MS degree in Engineering
